We had a great week this week! The weather was mostly beautiful and we enjoyed spending lots of time together.
This week started out pretty quiet, Eric worked some long hours. I have been nesting like crazy really trying to keep the house organized and clean.
This weekend started out great. Thursday night Eric and I went out for a date at Buffalo Wild Wings. THe place was packed with March madness followers, but it was still really fun. They have .60 cent wings on Thursdays so we thought it would be a nice change of pace.
Friday, I went to the doctor for some lab work results and everything looks good. I was able to go see the girls at my old office and spent a long time catching up it was so nice! Friday night we had dinner at a wonderful restaurant in Naperville called Rafi's! Great conversation, amazing food! It was nice to get dressed up and enjoy a special evening. Eric suprised me on Friday with a dozen beautiful roses, which was such a suprise.
Saturday, I had lunch with my old roommates Taryn and Ashely! We spent a few hours at Stir Crazy catching up and talking baby for the most part! It was so nice to catch up. The weather was so awful, Eric and I spent the rest of the evening in. We did our tradional Friday night date night on Saturday and watched "Couples Retreat" and Jon and Kate Plus 8 all night. Eric also painted our ceiling and patched the holes from the flood we had so many months ago. It is so nice to have it fixed, it looks so much better!
Sunday: Today we are going to Costco like we do every Sunday morning! Bailey is passing through on her way back to Michigan so we look forward to seeing her! Other than that today should be really quiet!
Your Baby in Week 28 of Pregnancy
Your baby is settling into the proper position for birth, with his head facing downward (toward your body's nearest exit!). Your little work in progress is now about 2.5 pounds and almost 16 inches long. He's busy adding new skills such as blinking to an already impressive repertoire of tricks like coughing, sucking, hiccuping, and taking practice breaths. Your baby's sleep now includes the REM (rapid eye movement) phase — and that means he could be dreaming already (what do you suppose he's dreaming about?). Though his lungs are nearly fully mature (so both of you might breathe a little easier if he were born now), your baby still has plenty of growing to do.
This is the 28 week bump pictures:
