29 weeks

This week was pretty quiet!

I had a doctors appointment on Thursday. I was sad because Eric couldn't make it, but he had to work! The appointment was short and sweet. I am measuring perfectly: 29cm for 29 weeks... can't be more right on than that! Heard the heartbeat which was nice and strong as always!

I have been playing with Logan a lot this week! I can finally see his kicks and punches from the outside (my stomach really moves) so I have been poking back and then he pokes back and we just play together! That has been one of the most special parts of this entire pregnancy!

It has really hit me how soon he will be here! Our whole life is about to change and it is just as exciting as it is scary!

Eric and I had a good week. Like I said it was pretty quiet, nothing too big happend. He had to work a lot. He worked his normal M-W and then he was downtown Thursday and Friday and then he helped cover for someone on Saturday so it was a long week! We also found out that he will be taking a buisness trip to get a certification in April to New Orleans! We've never spent that many days apart ever...I think the max has been maybe 1 day. He leaves on a Tuesday and doesn't get back until Sunday. I'm not thrilled that he's going to be gone, but it'll be a great opportunity for him to get this certification done! We'll miss him, but it'll be very exciting to see him when he returns!!

April is going to be a lonely month for me! My parents are going to Egypt from the
2nd-14th . My sister and her family are going to Las Vegas to visit her in-laws from the 6-16th and then Eric will be gone from the 13th-18th. It'll be weird!

That's about it!!

Lots of love,
Eric, Mary and Logan(11 weeks away)!!!

28 weeks! Hello 3rd Trimester!

We have hit our 3rd trimester already 28 weeks... can you believe it?! It is going by so quickly! Logan will be here in less than 12 weeks!!

We had a great week this week! The weather was mostly beautiful and we enjoyed spending lots of time together.

This week started out pretty quiet, Eric worked some long hours. I have been nesting like crazy really trying to keep the house organized and clean.

This weekend started out great. Thursday night Eric and I went out for a date at Buffalo Wild Wings. THe place was packed with March madness followers, but it was still really fun. They have .60 cent wings on Thursdays so we thought it would be a nice change of pace.

Friday, I went to the doctor for some lab work results and everything looks good. I was able to go see the girls at my old office and spent a long time catching up it was so nice! Friday night we had dinner at a wonderful restaurant in Naperville called Rafi's! Great conversation, amazing food! It was nice to get dressed up and enjoy a special evening. Eric suprised me on Friday with a dozen beautiful roses, which was such a suprise.
Saturday, I had lunch with my old roommates Taryn and Ashely! We spent a few hours at Stir Crazy catching up and talking baby for the most part! It was so nice to catch up. The weather was so awful, Eric and I spent the rest of the evening in. We did our tradional Friday night date night on Saturday and watched "Couples Retreat" and Jon and Kate Plus 8 all night. Eric also painted our ceiling and patched the holes from the flood we had so many months ago. It is so nice to have it fixed, it looks so much better!
Sunday: Today we are going to Costco like we do every Sunday morning! Bailey is passing through on her way back to Michigan so we look forward to seeing her! Other than that today should be really quiet!

Your Baby in Week 28 of Pregnancy
Your baby is settling into the proper position for birth, with his head facing downward (toward your body's nearest exit!). Your little work in progress is now about 2.5 pounds and almost 16 inches long. He's busy adding new skills such as blinking to an already impressive repertoire of tricks like coughing, sucking, hiccuping, and taking practice breaths. Your baby's sleep now includes the REM (rapid eye movement) phase — and that means he could be dreaming already (what do you suppose he's dreaming about?). Though his lungs are nearly fully mature (so both of you might breathe a little easier if he were born now), your baby still has plenty of growing to do.

27 weeks!

Here we are closing out the last week of the 2nd trimester! I can't believe it! This pregnancy is going by so quickly!

This weekend was full of family fun! We spent a nice chunk of time on Saturday at my parents house after we saw Alice in Wonderland (which was very good by the way) and then on Sunday! Lisa and Cali came over to see the 3D ultrasound DVD! It was so great to have them over. Wrigley and Cali had way too much fun playing!! It was nice to have some company!

On thursday we tried a new restaurant and had dinner with Joe and Mary which was great. We went to a new Brewery in Plainfield and the food was great! It was nice to catch up with close friends and enjoy a great meal!

We cleaned and got the nursery to 80% done. We just need a few more decorations, a changing table, and a mattress and his room will be good to go!!

We were glad to be able to share the new room with Lisa and Cali as well as my parents who stopped by to see our hardwork!

Eric has been working some longer shifts at work which we're trying to get used to. We've been very spoiled with shorter days since he started his new job, but we new it wouldn't last forever. We were also spoiled with him having almost every Friday off and it looks like that's over as well! It is really making us value and appreciate our free weekends though! He covers an occasional Saturday here and there, but it's not like his last job where he worked EVERY saturday! It's nice to be able to plan things for the weekend!

I really feel like the house has really come together and that we're really ready for Logan to get here (although I am going to enjoy these last 13 weeks for all they are worth!)

Can we say hungry ALL THE TIME! I feel like I can never get full! This kid must love to eat! Thank goodness i'm not gaining a million pounds! It's so weird to finish a full meal and be hungry within a half hour! That has been the biggest thing I've noticed this last week! It's hard not to have guilt, but if you're hungry you're hungry! (Guess I should enjoy it before the post pregnancy diet!

Lots of love,
Eric, Mary & Logan

26 weeks!

Oops I can't beleive I missed last week!!

The biggest news of this weekend is that we had our 3D ultrasound done on Saturday!
It was so amazing to see Logan again! He's getting so big! The little stinker had his legs up (so he's basically folded in half) the entire time so it was hard to get some good face shots in! He's so adorable!
My mom and dad came along as well as Eric's Dad and sister. After the ultrasound we had lunch at portillos together! It was great to spend time with the family for such a special occasion.

Here are some pictures from the ultrasound:

Isn't he adorable! We just can't wait to meet him!!

Love,
Eric, Mary and Logan!
