We are over the half way hump we have reached 21 weeks!!! 19 more weeks to go!
We are getting more and more excited as the weeks go by!
This week was a busy but very fun one!!
We had a suprise 50th birthday for my mom on Saturday night. It had a sixties theme and the house was covered in tie dye. To get her out of the house for the day I took her to see DreamGirls in Chicago and we had an amazing time! We talked and laughed all day, took the train, ate McDonalds, saw the show and made it home walking into a house full of friends and family!
I couldn't have done it without the help of Eric! Not being there to set-up after all the planning was so hard,but knowing he was there allowed me to not stress and enjoy the day! He picked up family from the Airport, ran errands, helped with food, shuttled people around, he was amazing.... How did I get so lucky?! He's the absolute best!
My mom's closest friends were there as well some of her family. My auntie cheryl and cousin Jay were there along with her husband john and son james! Then suprising everyone (including me) was my auntie kitty and uncle ted from Maryland who said they couldn't make it! THe night was full of good food, good drinks (for everyone else), good music and great conversation! It was so great to see everyone!
Laura and I suprised mom with a Memory Book with pictures and entries from us and friends and family!
It was fun to show off the bump at the party, it was a the first time many people had seen it and it's starting to get pretty big!! Looking forward it continuing to grow!
Other than that it was a pretty quiet week! Logan is doing great after our Doctor's appt on Monday and everything is happy and healthy!!

20 weeks!!
It's the official half way point!! 20 weeks along!!
We had another ultrasound this week and they said Logan is PERFECT!! They said he's the perfect height and weight for this far along in pregnancy. He weigh's a whopping 12 oz. and getting bigger every day!I love nothing more than watching him during ultrasounds! He's always moving around so much and you can see his heart beating and he's just so beautiful already!
We have our 5 month doctor's appt on Monday so the doctor is going to go over the results of the blood test that I had done (The quad screen) to check for genetic issues and the ultrasound so it should be a pretty good appointment.
This week we worked on getting the nursery ready. My parents gave us an early shower gift by getting us our crib and we spent Friday night putting it together and it looks awesome!!
Tonight Eric and I are driving down to Illinois State (where I went to college) we are going to see Brad Paisley and Miranda Lambert in concert! It was our Christmas present to each other and we are so excited about the concert.
Other than that this week what pretty standad. Went to the Y with my sister all week. Eric came with us on Friday and taught us some new arm lifts to do! Since i've been going to the Y everyday with Laura we decided to sell our elliptical machine. We found a great buyer and now we have the space to do a play room for logan up in the loft. Our treadmill folds up so easily and now we have a lot of extra space to make that a really fun room for him to play around in!!
We are all happy and healthy and had a great week!!

19 weeks!
This is really late! I didn't want to miss a week though so better late than never!!
We are officially 19 weeks as of Friday! This weekend we decided to go through the whole house and find tons of donations! I had TONS of clothes that I've just collected over the last few years that I really don't use and so we decided that it was time to bag it all up and get it out of the house! We want the house to be as simple as organized as possible before the baby gets here so we can get into a perfect routine. We ended up with 10 garbage bags full of clothing to give away (not all mine!) But, I had no idea we had that much extra stuff!!
The nursery is really starting to come along... that extra room has really been our storage room for so long. We used it for laundry and we would just put extra things we didn't really use in there so we really had to get it ready and now it looks amazing! I can't wait to get all the decor up! It's going to be a nautical theme and it's going to be so adorable!
We registered at Target on Thursday which was a lot of fun. Now that we know it's a boy it's been so great being able to pick things out and really imagine what our life is going to be like!!
Saturday night we went to medival times which Eric has a blast at! I'm so glad we had a chance to just be together and do something fun! I wasn't sleeping well for about a week and I was just stressed and emotional because of the lack of sleep and so it was nice to kind of get away and have a special night planned! The last couple of nights i've been sleeping better so hopefully that will continue. You don't realize how much a lack of sleep can really affect you emotionally.
We have our big second trimester ultrasound on Thursday!! We are so excited to see our little boy again!! When we found out the sex of the baby it wasn't a medical ultrasound, it was just a place to specifically find out the gender. So this is where we will find out more about him medically! We cannot wait!

18 weeks!
Hello Everyone!!!
Welcome to week 18!! We are moving along!
This has been a pretty quiet week for us! I started going to the Y with my sister Laura daily! It has been nice to get out of the house and stay active! I started a pregnancy water aerobics class which I really like. It meets every Tuesday and Thursday for an hour in the morning.
We got some crazy snow this week!I actually had a bit of a scare. The snow removal company was going around clearing the driveways, but my car was out there and I didn't want them to skip our house so I went out there to pull the car in and I actually fell. Luckily I just fell on 1 knee and caught myself with my wrist, but hurt just for a few hours and then felt better. I was in pieces though, I was home alone and just thought about how bad it could have been, and felt so lucky that it happend the way it did. After that Eric pretty much put me on bed rest for the rest of the day. He's very protective!
I had dinner with Nancy at on the Boarder this week and it was so nice to catch up with her! It's always fun to have a girls night out!! After dinner I met Eric at Babies R Us which was right next door to the restaurant and we finished registering there.
We are registered at Babies R us and Target! We have been having so much fun picking out all of Logan's future stuff!! Registering is always so much fun, but also so exhuasting! There is just so much to think about and make decisions on! We did a lot of it online, so going to the store wasn't as stressful!
Eric got Friday off, his boss is so nice! Craig told him that due to the weather he could just take Friday off! I loved it! Eric came to the Y with me and Laura and worked out. He WAY over did the lifting and has been so sore all day today. He is moaning and groaning all day, I feel bad, but have still been poking a little fun at him!
Tomorrow is Tristan's (our nephew)1st Birthday! I CANNOT believe he's already 1 years old! My little bubba is growing up so fast! He is walking and going all over the house! He is having a party tomorrow, we are so excited to celebrate this huge milestone! It's amazing how much life can change in 1 year! I love that Tristan and Logan are going to be so close in age! A year and half apart!
He'll be so close with his cousins! He'll have cousin Cali who can teach him the ropes! He's going to have so much fun playing with his amazing cousins! I can't wait to watch their friendships grow!!
I'm just loving every minute of this!! Feeling great and just very excited about everything!!

IT'S A BOY!!!!!
Well we're happy to announce that we found out the gender of our baby and we are having a SON!! Logan Walter Sorensen!! The sonographer said that his legs are VERY long already (like father like son)! It took a while to figure out what he was because they said he was one of the most active babies they've ever seen. He was doing flips and wiggling and kicking and crossing his legs! So it looks like we're going to have a little wild one on our hands!!
We were shocked when we found out it was a boy! We were both so convinced that it was a girl (as did most people). But we couldn't be more excited that it's a boy!
This week has been a lot of fun! Eric had a short week because of the New Year. Happy 2010 by the way!! We went to a restaurant in Downtown Naperville called La Sorella Di Francesca. It's an Italian restaurant with the best food! It was seriously one of the best meals i've ever had! We got a window seat and enjoyed a long conversation over an appetizer, our meals, and then we split dessert. After dinner we went over to my parents house and did the countdown (the New York one)with my parents and sister and brother-in-law and nephew!
Yesterday (when we found out what we were having) we decided it would be so fun to go shop for boy stuff! We found some cute outfits as well as went through a lot of Tristan's clothing! It'll fun to have hand-me-downs from cousin Tristan!
How blessed and I! I am going to have the 2 most amazing boys in my life!!!
Now we just can't wait to have Logan arrive!!
